Uses of hydrogen for diabetes

Clinical studies have also shown that molecular hydrogen effectively prevents liver damage (fatty liver) caused by a high-sugar diet and metabolic syndrome.

"In some of the metabolic syndrome studies, glucose levels in certain people with glucose tolerance fell into the normal range," LeBaron notes.

Animal research suggests that hydrogen could induce GLUT4 translocation by a mechanism similar to that of insulin.
"We need more studies to look at this, but some of this preliminary data really shows that it's great for certain people with diabetes," he says.

There is also some evidence that it may help suppress cancer development as an adjunctive treatment and reduce the toxicity of anti-cancer drugs, however, LeBaron is cautious about this and indicates that more studies are needed.
